Curriculum

At Central Academy of the Arts, students are taught using South Carolina's College and Career Ready Standards.  However, what's unique about CAA is we infuse and integrate the arts while teaching core subjects.

Confused by art infused and integrated lessons?  Here's a simple overview of what it looks like in the classroom.

When art infused lessons are taught, a child's grade level teacher AND related arts teacher work together to teach and help students master their objective and standards in the lesson.

An integrated lesson is taught by just the grade level teacher.  The teacher integrates one or more of the arts in order to teach the core subject/lesson and help students master their objective and standards.
