Guidance Counselor:  Jessica Max

The role of the school counselor is to be a resource for students, parents, and teachers in order to maximize the child's academic, social, and emotional well-being. A variety of services are offered throughout the year. The counselor conducts classroom guidance to discuss a variety of topics to include: social skills, study skills, self-esteem, career awareness, bullying, and others. Individual or group counseling is provided as needed for varying topics. These sessions can be arranged by the child, teacher, or parent. In addition, consultation and coordination of certain services are part of the guidance program. These services can be requested by the student, teachers, parents, or by me. Students can contact me either by note or in person before school, during recess, or after school with the classroom teacher's permission. If you think your child would benefit from the counselor's services, please, contact Ms. Max by calling the school office at 397-1400.
