On Wednesday, 21 Aug, approximately 400 Daniel High School students engaged in a combined Celebrate Freedom Foundation STEM Exhibit and SC Army National Guard static display outreach event. Military veterans from the CFF shared information on careers in the aviation industry ranging from diesel engine mechanic to Unmanned Aerial Vehicle operator…in addition to their personal stories and encouragement to our kids. The SC Army National Guard fielded questions on the Avenger air defense system in addition to mentoring students on the benefits of serving. Daniel High School teachers incorporated the static displays into their daily curriculum. Daniel AFJROTC cadets built special rapport with the CFF as an annual sponsor of JROTC Leadership Awards.
